Everyone seeks to be great, as the desire to be great is ingrained in the core of every human. However, the system of this world is to seek high positions or titles, so as to make others bow and look up to them. Leadership and authority to them is about lording it over many and barking orders at those under them. This is the typical politician or leader in Africa and even many other parts of the world. It’s a faulty world system which forces submission and seek self over service. 

However, Matt. 20:20-29 teaches us that kingdom greatness is the true greatness and is attained by serving others. You must become a servant-leader like Jesus and be ready to sacrifice all for the people given you to serve. When people know you care, they will trust and willingly submit. It is not different in the marketplace. To be a great business person or boss in any field, ensure your main aim is to serve your customers and be at their beck and call with excellence and optimum performance. 

Refuse to give them less than they require; go above and beyond to serve them as kings and queens because you see them as such. It’s all in your view and heart posture- see the people you’re serving as royals and assignment from God Himself and you won’t have a problem serving them excellently. Why will this be very effective? Surely because you don’t attend to your king or governor with dishonour, you put in your best. Start serving excellently in your business or career and you will become the very greatness you seek.
